Some people cringe when they learn they've been chosen to man the company's trade show displays at an upcoming conference or exhibition. Let's face it - standing in an exhibit for hours on end, constantly shaking hands and talking to prospective leads can get tiresome. The temperatures can be uncomfortable, and bright lights and hard floors contribute to your fatigue.

Putting together a small survival kit can help. Use a small tote or leather case to hold your survival kit, but be sure whatever you use is clean, neat, and professional looking in case others see it. In most cases, you can stash your survival kit behind one of your trade show displays or under a skirted table. The essentials for your trade show booths survival kit should include the following:

Bottled Water

You don't want to make a habit of drinking when you're manning trade show booths, but you'll occasionally want to rehydrate and soothe your throat. Talking all day can lead to bad breath, and wolfing down a quick lunch can contribute to the problem. Don't run the risk of offending anyone. Popping a breath mint occasionally will not only freshen your breath, but it will also give you a little lift when your energy is waning.

'Just in Case' Items In Your Trade Show Displays

The foot traffic at trade show displays can be heavy, and you'll inevitably meet someone who needs a simple, quick fix for a loose hem, a paper cut, or some other minor hazard. If you have a small repair kit that includes tape, safety pins, band-aids, and a few extra pens, you can come to the rescue of visitors. Grateful visitors can turn into grateful customers.

The Review!

Audio:

FUNimation has a pretty standard set of mixes here in the audio department that won really surprise anyone. They included the two English languages mixes they have, one with the US based music that was created years ago and one with the original Japanese music, done as a 5.1 mix encoded at 448kbps and one does as a stereo mix encoded at 192kbps. For fans of the original Japanese language, we do get something of the short end of the stick with a measly mono channel mix done at 96kbps which pretty much underwhelms, particularly in comparison to everything else on the disc. Each has their merits and each has their poor points to them, but Dragon Ball has such a varied fan following that it hard to please everyone. On the plus side, we at least have three choices to it and they all serviceable to one extent or another. We predominantly listened to the Japanese mix and had no problems with it throughout regular playback.

Originally airing from 1986 to 1989, Dragon Ball is presented in its original full frame aspect ratio. This set has thirty one episodes on it split up in a very strange way, where the first four discs have seven episodes each and the fifth disc has three episodes plus the clean opening and closing, so it not using a lot of that space. Having not seen any of the Japanese releases of it, I can say how close they are to those, but this set looks really good when taken into the context of the previous releases from FUNimation and the age of the show. It not completely clean or anything, there are noticeable areas of blocking and banding to be had at times, generally with dark areas, but overall it far better than what we had before and it looks good. Not fantastic, there no way this show could look fantastic I think, but it the best it looked in the US to date. I would have preferred that the episode layout per disc was a bit better though.

Packaging:

Though it not my preferred packaging of choice, FUNimation has done right by Dragon Ball by taking what they did with Dragon Ball Z and applying here, but with a great shade of blue instead of bright orange. The digipak is easy to identify with Goku on the front, the sideways logo and a clear listing of it being season one. The back of the slipcover has a very good layout with several shots from the show and a sizable summary of what it all about. The episode count is given a couple of times and the discs features are nice and clean as well. Inside the slipcover we get the standard foldout digipak piece which is done in a good shade blue with the outside featuring the same front as the slipcover and the rest has the blue with the turtle logo. Opening it up to the discs, the background has Shen Long spread out across it in shades of blue. Included in this is a booklet that covers character profiles for those that show up in the first season as well as a breakdown of all thirty one episodes. While I would have preferred a simple slipcover with five thinpak cases to hold each disc, I do appreciate the consistency between the seasons, since Dragon Ball Z is done this way as is Dragon Ball GT.

Menu:

The menus for this release are the same across all five volumes as it uses the blue from the packaging along with the same headshot of Goku in adult form as its center piece. The menus are done in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen and they fill out the screen nicely and it looks nowhere near as garish as the previous set did. In fact, everything looks really good here. The layout is straightforward with navigation along the bottom which includes the marathon play option. Submenus load quickly and the language menu details the options quite nicely, even if it doesn observe our players presets.

Extras:

The only extras are included on the fifth volume and it simply the clean versions of the opening and closing sequences, which are certainly appreciated.

The fifth set of Dragon Ball draws this part of the series to a close and it's one that has distilled a lot of what made the previous sets good down to a science. At this stage of the game we know the characters, the relationships are pretty much set and there aren't too many real surprises left. Over the course of the five discs in here that cover the final thirty-one episodes of Dragon Ball, we get a fair bit of training to be had, the passage of more time and one more Tenkaichi tournament to be had. We get a lot of what's been the best of the previous sets in here with a nice little twist.

After all that's happened in the last set with the fight against Piccolo Daimao, Goku and everyone else has a few options in front of them. Goku has to figure out how to revive the Dragon Balls so he can bring everyone back to life that died in the fight against him while everyone else has to get on with their training. Goku's journey takes him to some fascinating places as he has to go through quite a few hurdles in order to get the Dragon Balls working again. From place to place and eventually to Karin's Tower, that has him going further up to the place where Kami-sama live, the man who created Shen-long and the Dragon Balls themselves. This realm, the Upper World, gives us a look at something bigger within the Dragon Ball universe by having the linked connection to Piccolo there as well as the very well powered Mr. Popo who tests Goku over and over.

Goku's journey is a lot of fun but it changes along the way with its intent. Originally it was set to revive those who died, like Muten Roshi, but it became about training along the way for a new foe. Kami-sama reveals that Piccolo Daimao let loose an egg before he died that he can sense and another version of Piccolo is growing up in the world below that will cause trouble again one day. Goku's training period lasts for three years since another Tenkaichi tournament is going to come up and the rest of his friends all work together and then go their separate ways to train in effort to try and catch up to Goku. It's good to see that it's all a kind of friendly rivalry that they have, where they don't hold back against each other but they don't hold the skills or abilities of the others against Eenvoudige Trouwjurken them either.

The three year difference is a something that this Grote Maten Trouwjurken series has used well in that they have pushed the characters to aging. Goku hasn't changed a whole lot over the years, but this set of three years has him entering adulthood now and he has a very different yet familiar look to him. The tournament is kept simple as there are less participants but stronger and more powerful participants. Naturally, Piccolo has shown up, though people aren't aware of who he looks like for quite awhile, and there are other mysterious fighters as well. The fun comes from Chichi making her adult-ish appearance here in trying to beat some sense into Goku for not returning to her all these years.

What makes this Tenkaichi tournament work is that they avoid a lot of the lengthy time spent on it that we saw in earlier matches. It made sense in those since we were seeing the progress of Goku and the others and how they were becoming something more than what Muten Roshi thought they could. Here, he's not even entering since he knows he's been surpassed. Goku has the clue on Piccolo and the match has a really quick pace about it as it works through some of the basic challengers before moving to being about the core cast whittling away at things until it all comes down to Goku's third try at taking the top slot in the tournament. A tournament that changes to being about the fate of the world again based on how much he's learned in the Upper World to win against Piccolo.

If there's a downside to the set, it's that it does go through familiar material in the buildup and training at the start and then it falls back to a tournament in order to advance things. There are lots of things to like about Goku's solo training as it again makes his world larger by introducing Kami-sama and expanding on where the Dragon Balls come from. The tournament itself obviously plays out in a familiar way though it has a lot more importance this time around. Where it doesn't work well the most though is in the epilogue story that has Goku and Chichi going off on an adventure together that has them traveling all over. It gets a bit over the top with the Mt. Frypan issue with the flames and where they're coming from while Chichi's father is running around like crazy trying to save a wedding dress. It's all designed to show us that Chichi and Goku are getting closer in an odd sort of way, but it's one of the few arcs in the original season that really left me feeling very disinterested in it overall.

In Summary:

As much as there is a sense of predictability about this set, it's a good set overall as it does draw the original series to a close and shows you how Goku has grown from the start. The early days are mirrored in a perverse way with Piccolo Jr. taking the stage here and having a revenge match against Goku with the fate of the world at stake. There's a lot of material with the Upper World and it covers a lot of other areas from the past as well, bringing together most of the cast at one point or another in a fun Feest Jurken and enjoyable way. As a way of closing things, you can certainly finish this set and not move on to Z and feel very complete in what you got as it's wild and fun ride. The original run of Dragon Ball is one of my favorite manga and I'm glad beyond words to have a solid five box set collection that tells the tale in anime form so well. Definitely recommended for fans of the original classic.

Women mainly dress up to impress other women, and dressing sexy at a club is something women do regardless of what mood they are in. Just because someone isnt giving you the time of day, does not mean they arent giving it to someone else. From what I've seen online (mostly on eBay), dresses will generally sell for about 25% or less of what you paid retail. I get the feeling this is a market where there are more sellers than buyers. Be careful not to overprice- I once tried to buy a dress on eBay (long story), and the seller was trying to sell it at 85% retail value Trouwjurk Lange Mouw (and this was a dress that already had alterations, which is something to think about- this dress may be almost "brand new", Trouwjurken nl but it has probably been tailored to YOUR body, which will make it all the more difficult to fit someone else). I told her I would buy it for far cheaper, but she turned me down. That auction and her next slightly lower auction received zero bids. You might consider donating the dress to an organization and taking the tax deduction- not as exciting as cash, but at least it's guaranteed. Strike while the iron is hot- every month and every year you let it sit in your closet pushes it farther out of current fashion and makes it less likely to have any resale value.

Weddingbee has classifieds where people list dresses and other items. I've not used them though so can't speak to the effectiveness.

I have heard of some success from brides using eBay - I know you don't want to do that but it might Korte Trouwjurk be your best option, revenue-wise.

If you can't sell it, I seem to read about a lot of people repurposing their dresses. Bassinet covers, baby blankets, christening blankets, quilts, shortening them and/or dyeing them to make different dresses, etc.

Don't Know What to Do With Leftover Candy

For those who dare, bottoms can be worn practically bare next season, with DSquared2's spring/summer 2013 range of extremely mini all-in-ones, hot-pants turned thongs, and dresses made of straps that left nothing to the imagination.

There was nothing subtle about the creations, which designer twins Dean and Dan Caten described as "unapologetically sexy and rigorous glamour" - and the models threw aside common catwalk etiquette for provocative pouts and poses.

The outfits were mainly black - blinged up with bulky, long gold chains - and skin-tight dresses or miniskirts with a flounce and a sheen were worn with mean-looking patent caps or hats with huge diamond-adorned decorations.

The were splashes of colour: a blood-red skirt, a pink jacket worn with hotpants and studded leather cuffs, and a grey and pink ruffle-hemmed dress with a vast flowing train - as well as the label's trademark denim skirts.

Roberto Cavalli presented an Art Nouveau-inspired collection. Cavalli was bound to be tame in comparison: the Italian designer famed for his love of animal prints and nature created a series of slinky, sensuous dresses and blouses with Art Nouveau-style plant and leopard prints.

However, the wolf girl Odd Grote Maten Trouwjurken Eye appears at the party to steal Lost Preciouses! Ryuji barely manages to fend off Ai's attack. Why did she attack? Why does she oppose the society? A new foe closes in on Ryuji! Odd Eye, a thief specializing in stealing Lost Preciouses of A Class and higher, makes an appearance a party Ryuji attends! Ryuji ends up face to face with Ai.

The Review:

Dragon Crisis has had an interesting run over its first five episodes where it's not exactly uneven, but it doesn't follow a lot of the standard story structures that we see. It's introduced a fair bit of variety and surprise to events as you can't be sure exactly where it will go, especially with how it seemed to have an big event happen so early on that felt more like it belonged at the end of a thirteen episode season instead of the third episode. With the previous storyline done and thing settling into place again, Ryuji finds himself at a swanky society party where there's some perks, such as Rose all dolled up, but also a fair amount of chaos when a wolf girl shows up and throws everything into a mess. For Ryuji, he's uncertain what all this is happening and keeps most of his concern to Rose since the two are growing so much closer.

Everything gets more complicated when said wolf girl sneaks into their place only to be captured by the gang. Rose is rather amusing during this as she's very protective of Ryuji at this point and views Ai as a very serious threat to her relationship with him. The focus on her acquiring Eriko's earring has Eriko quite interested in finding out what her master wants and that leads to a bath scene of all things. It's actually rather amusing with him blindfolded for it so he can't see anything but still involved in it all. The domestication of the wolf girl is rather cute and it even has something of rather dirty scene when Eriko uses the blow dryer on her after the bath and Rose fondles her tail far too aggressively, making her blush furiously.

There's a lot of cuteness as they seemingly adopt Ai for the time being and get her setup within their place. Rose for her part is adorable as she shows off some of her new skills she's picked up, particularly the cute flying she's now capable of. Showing off her being a dragon shocks Ai though since it wasn't something she expected. She tries to put up a tough fa but as it plays out, it's revealed more and more that she has a very soft side to her that cares a lot. But it's her work for her mysterious master that's a problem since she's keeping those plans a Grote Maten Trouwjurken secret, which is why she's being kept tied down for the time being while Eriko decides on the best course of action. The way they seemingly domesticate her is rather adorable as you can see it making an impression on her.

In Summary:

Like other episodes, the start of this particular short arc has an odd feeling to it where there are little possibilities teased out here rather than everything being laid bare. Ai is introduced as an interesting character with her wolf girl nature but there's a real softness and warmth under the harsh exterior that she puts out there. Once it all shifts away from the action at the part and moves things to Eriko's place, it's more like the taming of a beast in a domestic situation and it's humorous seeing how Eriko goes about it. Rose and Ryuji both have their moments as they shine in different ways, but the focus on Ai is what's worth paying attention to as she's the catalyst for events that are coming. Korte Trouwjurk It's a very domestic episode for the most part, but it takes a curious turn towards the end that starts events moving forward in another direction that makes you want to come back next week. Rose is still the real draw, but so far this is a show where just about every character is fun and worth watching.

My copy for the newspaper was fine but my fictional stories sounded flat. Why?

Get the gist? That telling you what happened and that way is no good for a story.

Showing is all about painting pictures with words. Adding detail, like the breeze. Getting inside the character. No-one told us that John cares for Clare. That too has been shown by his actions.

Since the museums are now open in Tallinn, the Trouwjurk 2012 LWW and I have spent a fair amount of split voor Prom Dresses time in a number of them over the past couple days.

The most interesting exhibit, I thought, was at the city museum in Old Town that we visited this afternoon.

It doesn't look like much. About the size of a trophy case, each shelf of this display was devoted to the excavated remnants of a single century in Tallinn - starting in about the 13th century, if I remember.

These are some examples of the primitive materials used in centuries gone by - bones and pottery and crude metals.

But what gave this display its genius were the top Trouwjurk Lange Mouw two shelves - devoted to the detritus of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Yup, ketchup bottles, beer cans, margarine tubs, and finger nail polish brushes - those primitive remains that our descendents will wonder about in the coming centuries.

doll dress

I decided not to go overboard on handmade this year. really, compared to the effort I made in past years, it not so much! post is going to be picture heavy and word light since I am supposed to pick the kids Trouwjurk 2012 up in half an hour and I can be listing these pictures while they are home! kids are getting pretty smart about catching me in the act :)

First, Elsie gift was a special request and is a holiday dress for her American girl doll Kit.

Yack! clothes! are harder than they look and working with cheap velvet from Joanns is not recommended. hey! turned out pretty and I know my girl will like it.

Next, Anne requested a purse and wallet AND a credit card that spends. credit card that spends is not happening as of this point. a gift card? style="text-align: center;">

I had fun making that one. used some pinterest inspiration and just made up what to do. liked using those kind of handles! cute.

For the wallet I used Noodlehead Zippy Wallet tutorial which was very fast and easy. some new skills too! love how she does her zipper. owl one is for Elsie since I couldn just make one of those cute little wallets!

Cal gift was my own idea since he is not really interested in thinking about gifts and what he wants for Christmas. has mentioned a haunted house with bats but I am not going to attempt to make that!

I used Wee Wonderful Space boy and Robot pattern which I have had for several years now. yellow t-shirt is a cape that is not my best work but it goes with the robot so I sure he like it. used this tutorial.

For Elsie class party we made Cake Pops. were a challenge! I have been wanting to try them for so long! were 2 left over that we are saving for some beloved cousins on Christmas Eve.

We decorated our Candy Cottage at the end of last week. will NEVER go back to making real gingerbread! is so much more fun and less pressure (for me Trouwjurk Lange Mouw at least!). 3 kids helped this time, although Cal did a lot of eating candy and Anne somehow ended up with frosting on her ears! style="text-align: center;">

I made Caramel Corn for neighbors and relatives. tastes really good too.

My husband has a huge family so I also made some everday napkins to gift. have a back story and I am excited about sharing how I made these. I hope to make a quick tutorial after all this holidaying has calmed down. have the pictures taken and ready to go!

Like everyone who likes to sew, I had plans to do more but I am happy that I am pretty much ready for Christmas now. year on the day after Chritmas I felt like I had been run over by a train! had no idea how stressed out the whole thing had made me. really wanted to scale back so i wouldn feel so deflated again and I could enjoy the days after the holiday as much as the days before.

Last are a few more decorations that we are loving! A playmobil nativity set that a good friend gave us. love that the kids are playing with the characters so much. sweet. is wonderful!

Also, I found this vintage gem at the thrift stoer for only $.50! a steal. is adorable!

I was worn down and I had just sold lots of owls at the handmade arcade I gave in. know it commercial and not handmade but I did like the whole historic story behind these dolls and I thought I could make some cute outfits. is the first one and I like how it turned out. used some vintage fabric that I got from an estate sale (i think it probably from the 30s or 40s). looked in the paperback book together to get an idea of what girls would have worn back during the Depression and considered this in the design of the dress. I admit Elsie thinks I am nuts when I try to tell her what the great depression was (huh? sounds nice if daddy could stay home and not go to work! could just get food from the refrigerator!). style="text-align: center;"> />

The following is a paper I wrote for my Abnormal Psychology class here at the College of Wooster.

Drag Shopping: A look at how people react to abnormal dress in a grocery store.

I conducted my experiment to see how average people react to a cross-dressing man. I think that many people, especially in an area like Wooster, Ohio, would feel uncomfortable with such an unusual site. Although I have done no formal research, Wooster seems to be a rather conservative town, though it cannot be that narrow minded due to the college. I expected to receive several strange looks, stares, maybe some snide comments, and probably laughter as well. When I walked downstairs from my room in my house one of my fraternity brothers burst out laughing. I also figured that I might just be treated as an oddity, similar to a man walking down a city street holding a duck. I hypothesize that while it is no problem for a woman to cut her hair short, wear no makeup, and wear pants, it's still tough on men who put on makeup and wear skirts or dresses or other things that would classify them as the male equivalent of a tom-boy.

Method

Participants:

The participants consisted of whoever was in Beuler's at the time of my shopping. I have to estimate somewhere in between 30 to 50 people saw me, and I noticed the reactions of about 15-20 people. They ranged from young children, approximately 8 years old, to the elderly, approximately in their mid 70's. The majority of people were females, ranging in age from early thirties to early fifties. This played a factor into my results, for I think women would be more likely to make silent remarks, such as glances or turning away, while men would be more vocal.

Materials:

To conduct this experiment I barrowed a dress from a friend of mine, nothing too fancy, nothing that would stand out in a large crowd. I picked a long plain black dress that came down to above my ankles and was not low cut. I wanted to convey that I did this often, and it was not a big deal. I didn't choose anything that was bright, frilly, or sequined for many people do not buy groceries in such outfits. I did not wear my hat, but wore the sandals I usually wear. I also did not put on any makeup, lipstick or anything else of the sort, nor did I spend a long time on my hair. I had it how I usually have it when I'm not wearing my hat, combed forward, with a little flip at the front. I also had on a sweater which I barrowed from the same girl. As she put it, I looked "cute." To time the experiment I used the clock on the dashboard of my car. I checked it before I exited, and when I came back into my vehicle. I also had a black purse, which I had over my left shoulder. For my control I wore my own clothing. I wore sandals, long cargo pants, a Trouwjurken nl white t-shirt and a button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up. I also had on my fraternity hat.

Procedure:

Both for my control and experiment, I parked my car in the parking lot, walked into the store, searched for the items I needed, paid and went back to my car. The only change in procedure between the control and the experiment were the items I bought. I tried to stick to normal items for both the experiment and control. For the control I went in and purchased milk, flour, butter, pancake mix and six apples. For the experiment I procured six bagels, cream cheese, cranberry juice, a box of instant oatmeal and some cookies. I purposefully tried to avoid any foods that could be used for purposes other than eating, such as whip cream, jelly and syrup. Both times I tried not to dawdle too long in the store, and I kept my mood cheery. I entered the store each time around 3:20 pm.

Results and Discussion

I noticed several differences in behavior between the experiment and control. During the control no one reacted adversely to my presence. In fact, I was a little bummed that no one really seemed to care about me. I was able to walk into the store, do my shopping, purchase the goods and leave with no hassle, nor any weird looks. The cashier didn't make any chitchat, just ringed up my items, bagged them, gave me the change and receipt and said "have a good day," the same thing they say Grote Maten Trouwjurken to everyone else. However the experiment was different. I noticed one man, estimated about sixty years old, giving me strange glances before I even made it into the store. Once inside I noticed a few more odd glances. I noted no drastic responses such as people walking by and calling me a freak or other such offensive and harsh comments, thankfully. I shopped normally, and tried not to make it seem like I was studying them as most of them were obviously studying me. The oddest response I received was from the cashier, who, this time was a young blonde girl, approximately 16 years old. She chatted and even found it humorous that I was wearing a dress. I made some small talk with her while she rung up my purchases. I did not tell anyone that I was doing this for a class assignment, as I felt that would ruin or corrupt my data. I also noticed that some of the other employees gave me strange looks. One woman, while I was waiting in the checkout line did a double take, apparently unsure of the situation and how she should act/react. All in all, I feel that my hypothesis was supported. I expected people to act in the ways that they did. The only real surprise was the cashier, who seemed to not mind at all. If I did this study again I would have another person with me to do the observations, though I would not have them walk next to me as I shopped. I would have them act like another customer doing his or her own shopping, but follow me around to note reactions and other responses. I found it hard to study other people and not make it seem like I was, although many reactions were blatantly obvious. I didn't Feest Jurken feel too bad shopping in drag. I found the clothing rather comfortable and the responses were what I had expected. Having worn black throughout most of high school and being involved in the drama department there, I was used to odd glances and being stared at (it's hard being on stage if you don't like being looked at). I treated this as another performance, nothing that was that special.
